 When I was growing up my family, Mom and me, didn’t recognize “Hallmark holidays” like Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day. However, Mom died decades ago and with the passage of time I’ve come to appreciate celebrating the important people and occasions in my life even if the purpose is to sell cards and candy! So, now on Mother’s Day I refresh my memories of Mom as my mentor, model and best friend and to heighten the experience I dip into a box of my favourite chocolates!
