![]() Here is an upcoming webinar by a group with whom I am associated. Hope you find it interesting. You’re invited to the next Seniors for Climate webinar (March 5 2025, 6:30pm) with two compelling speakers who will connect the dots for us on the climate emergency, our health crisis, cost of living woes and even our nation’s sovereignty challenge. You won’t want to miss Dr. Mili Roy, a Canadian physician and Ontario regional chair for the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment. She calls out the climate crisis as the greatest health crisis of our time and inspires us to use our democratic voice for climate action by connecting environmental impacts to our everyday lives. Our second speaker is Marc Lee, senior economist at the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives and an engaging speaker, who will explore the intersection of climate change, energy policy and social justice. Amber Bennett, executive director of Re.Climate, will moderate in her incisive and highly-informed style. The timing of the webinar couldn’t be better as Seniors for Climate and our allies get ready for our spring actions across the country during Earth Week in April. So many issues and crises are competing for Canadians’ attention. Although most care deeply about the climate crisis, many are distracted, even overwhelmed. But Canadians are also determined to chart their own path. Our webinar will help you talk about climate in a way that taps into Canadians’ new-found resolve to protect our country and create a livable future for generations to come.
