Sally is a professor of storytelling and story writing at Trinity College, Faculty of Divinity, University of Toronto. 2008 to present. (See dates for 2021 courses under Course and Event Opportunities).
She, with colleague Catherine Bryant, has established Story Soup 2020, a story listening project for residents in long-term-care homes using telephone technology. 2020
Sally and a team of artists / activists, with a grant from the Anglican Foundation of Canada, will hold the one-day event, Earth Care: From Scar Tissue to New Growth – a live event to address the climate crisis through the arts. 2021
She is a past member of the board of directors of the Anglican Foundation of Canada, which supports many arts and justice projects across Canada 2012 – 2017

Sally, together with Kelly Walker, and Alexandra Caverley-Lowery, founded Sacred Acts, a consortium of performing artists who facilitated events for worship, education and the workplace across Canada 1992 –2000
Sally taught theatre arts to adults and youth producing and directing over 50 full-length plays at the North York Centre for the Arts 1984 – 2008
She established a marionette company and performed and taught drama and puppetry to students and teachers in Toronto’s inner-city schools and elsewhere. 1974 – 1986
She studied: Theology at Toronto School of Theology 1987 – 1990 and Creative Writing at Ryerson University throughout the 1990’s. Sally also received a Maple Leaf grant from the United Kingdom to research religious and spiritual drama through out the UK summer and fall of 2007.
Sally trained with Uta Hagan and worked in the New York City theatre and television and toured internationally in live theatre and with puppets through out the 1960s.
