Our small group of five or six continues to meet enthusiastically and virtually every other Tuesday, to discuss the global crisis and to support one another’s actions. Between our meetings we exchange articles and videos (some of which find their way to this website). We have become fully aware, if we were not already, of the power of story telling. Our recent discussions have flowed out of Richard Wagamese’s Embers – a small book of Indigenous stories for meditation and from Jane Goodall’s, The Book of Hope – filled with stories of her diverse experiences with nature. Next week we will share, with each other, our own anecdotal stories of our interactions with urban nature. I’m looking forward to hearing about hedgehogs traveling along their hedgehog highways! Have I mentioned our group is all women of a “certain age”? We are still blessed with active, productive lives, so I feel a kinship with the two female iconic elders in this short video of Jane and Margaret in dialogue. Enjoy!
