 We humans are just one species of a multitude of species of animals and so I’m struggling to take my little 6’2” high ego out of the centre of beings and place it where it belongs among my fellow creatures! I’ve been reading, with fascination, about the scientific discoveries made regarding the intelligence and feelings of other animals. It turns out we can all think, plan, strategize and empathize with one another. Of the many books, on the topic, I’ve read of late three, in particular, stand out as good all-round reads. So, if you’re interested in the inner lives of those with feathers, fur and fins and are prepared to consider rethinking your meal plans, I recommend reading (as always, in print or audio) these books:
